Tuesday, August 18, 2009

Social networking is now spread like a virus infecting everyone from any kind of communities. After the years of friendster, the most popular social networking site now in the world is facebook, at least for the past two years. Facebook has made internet and social networking sites become extremely popular.

Facebook was originally intended for college students but now it goes beyond the initial target. People from various background and profession now use facebook avidly. They use facebook for a variety of purposes, from fun to business, from leisure to make money.

Connecting long lost school and college friends.
One of the best benefit of facebook is that it helps connecting long lost school and college friends. It is very easy to find and reconnect with people we care for but haven't seen in a while.

Make New Friends but Keep The Old
Facebook is not only good for reliving days gone by with old friends but also offer a great way to find and make thousands of new friends. Since more people are joining facebook everyday, you will find a lot of good people from your friend's friend, a community group, or a public figure fans group. On social networking site like facebook new friends are just a click away.

Facebook provides a multimedia environment to stay in touch with people we care. We can share pictures, videos, events, and even notes with someone or a group of people. We can, in addition, tag peoples on every post so that they know there is a post about them. Tagging in facebook is a very fantastic way to make someone interesting to comment on a post.

Well, that is what I can share now about facebook. I will try write more about facebook and mastering facebook Tips on this blog so please come again or bookmark this blog.

Actually, making new friends on facebook is not as "easy" as it may seem. I created a group (here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=197281091127) in response to my old account being disabled for "harassment." This was based on, they say, the fact that facebook is an environment to keep in touch with people we have met offline, not to make new friends. Please check out, and feel free to join, the group. The email conversation with facebook, after my account was disabled, is in the discussion section. Blessings <3
